Episode Thirty-Five: Always Bullish On Bitcoin With Ben From BTC Sessions

Ben Perrin is host of the BTC Sessions – Canada’s most popular YouTube Bitcoin educator. Since 2016 Ben has amassed a following of over 70,000 subscribers and over 6 million views across all his content.

Ben is all in on BTC and believes that it is the best form of sound money ever created. We are used to governing bodies in the fiat world inflating the supply by printing money to fix the mistakes of mismanaged funds. But with Bitcoin, nobody can alter the base layer rules. There is a maximum supply of 21 million bitcoin coins that can ever be created which in the world of currency is rather unique.

What he looks for is a max supply (to avoid any inflationary actions) and if it is decentralized, secure, and censorship resistant. Bitcoin checks all of these boxes. Every few years in the crypto market there is a wash of projects who aren’t built on solid ground but Bitcoin continues to be the leader in crypto space because of the foundations it is built upon.

One of the biggest critiques of Bitcoin was its inability to scale. However, with the development of the lightning network we are seeing that scalability problem being solved in real time.
